Book a Sponsored Slot
Text-only sponsored panels, sold by the day, reviewed by the editor before they appear. Payment is processed by Authorize.net at the point of booking. If we decline to run your ad, we refund in full.
Slots
- In-article slot — a single sponsored panel inside every article page, positioned at the foot of the copy. $2 per day. Minimum 7 days.
- Front-page slot — a single sponsored panel on the front page, in the sidebar above the corrections. $5 per day. Minimum 7 days.
What we accept
A headline, a body line, a destination URL, and an accent colour. That is the whole format. We do not accept images, videos, tracking pixels, third-party JavaScript, or ads that impersonate journalism.
What we do not run
- Ads for fraud, unregistered securities, or "guaranteed returns."
- Ads that misrepresent themselves as editorial content.
- Ads for politicians or ballot measures (this policy is not negotiable during an election year).
- Ads that would embarrass a reasonable reader for having clicked on them.
The editor's decision is final. Rejected bookings are refunded in full within a business day.
How it works
- Fill in the form. It will quote the cost as you edit the dates.
- Enter card details. Authorize.net tokenises them in your browser; we never see the number.
- We review within one business day and email you either way.
- If approved, the panel appears at the start of the first booked day and disappears at the end of the last.
Refund policy
If the editor declines your ad, the full amount is refunded within one business day and you are told why. If a published ad turns out to be misdescribed, we will refund the un-run days on request. If Authorize.net is briefly unavailable during checkout, no charge is created and no booking is filed.
